At Heritage, we believe in more than just providing landscape solutions —we believe in cultivating strong, thriving communities. Through dedicated partnerships and hands-on involvement, we are committed to making a meaningful impact where we live and work. Read below to learn about a few of our ongoing partnerships with organizations such as Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, Transitions Homeless Center and Parents Partnership and how we make it a priority to give back.
Empowering Fathers, Strengthening Families
Since 2018, Heritage has been a proud supporter of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, an organization dedicated to empowering fathers and fostering strong family connections.
“Heritage Landcare has been a loyal and supportive partner with Midlands Fatherhood Coalition since 2018,” said Eleanor Dreher Boyd, Senior Development Consultant of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition. “By supporting our former signature event, the Daddy and Me 5K, over $50,000 has been raised, allowing an additional 20 fathers to complete our free program, positively impacting 50 children in the Midlands.
“Heritage also supported our graduation this past October at Segra Park. Over 200 fathers and families from our three Midlands sites came to celebrate their accomplishments. Both fathers who spoke credited Midlands Fatherhood Coalition with changing their lives, improving their relationships with their co-parents and children, and enhancing their economic trajectories.”
“We thank Ashley and his team for their dedication to making the futures of Midlands children brighter through positive fatherhood engagement!”
Providing Support to Those in Need
In partnership with Colliers South Carolina, Heritage has been maintaining the landscape at the Transitions Homeless Center pro bono for several years. Transitions serves men and women across the Midlands of South Carolina, helping them transition out of homelessness. By creating a well-maintained and welcoming environment, we aim to provide comfort and support to those transitioning into stability and permanent housing.
Giving Back in the Charleston Market
Beyond our work in the Midlands, Heritage is also committed to serving the Charleston community through impactful projects:
- Parents Partnership: We provided plants, materials, and labor to install a garden that raises funds for underprivileged youth, fostering growth and opportunity for the next generation.
- Sawmill Branch Trail: We installed a pollinator garden near the Newington Plantation access point, promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing local green spaces for the community to enjoy.
